LF-SW series high-pressure RO membrane is dedicated Reverse Osmosis membrane developed for full-strength seawater with 32000ppm high salt concentration, this thickened pressure-resistant RO membrane element completely different from conventional brackish RO membrane filter such as BW and ULP series. Ordinary low-pressure Reverse Osmosis membrane element will suffer rapid compaction and performance decay under seawater high pressure, while LF-SW RO membrane adopts reinforced polyamide film to keep stable desalination rate long-term. Before seawater enters RO membrane element, full set pre-treatment including UF membrane and Ultrafiltration membrane module must be installed to intercept algae and suspended solids, reduce scaling risk of Reverse Osmosis membrane filter. All SW RO membrane products belong to Water Filter Element category, oil & gas coalescer cartridge and natural gas filter can be found via gas filter element.
High-salinity raw seawater flows tangentially over the surface of LF-SW RO membrane under 5.52–8.28MPa driving pressure. Reinforced thick polyamide layer of this Reverse Osmosis membrane only allows pure water molecules to penetrate into central permeate tube to form drinking water; sodium chloride, magnesium salt and marine microorganisms are fully trapped on membrane surface and discharged as concentrated brine. The widened feed spacer design of each RO membrane element slows salt crystal accumulation, extending chemical cleaning cycle of RO membrane filter compared with thin-channel common Reverse Osmosis membrane.
