CM Series Aviation Fuel Separator Cartridge Hydrophobic Separation Filter Element

CM series separator cartridge is core secondary separator filter matched with CA coalescer cartridge for aviation fuel systems, belongs to high-performance separator filter cartridge. This dedicated separator filter element adopts permanent PTFE hydrophobic mesh to stop re-entrained liquid droplets after coalescence process, while all separator cartridge filter models perfectly cooperate with coalescer filter cartridge and coalescer filter element. Without qualified separator filter, tiny water mist will be re-carried by fuel/gas flow, corrode instruments and compressors of natural gas filter system. All CM separator cartridge filter meet EI 1581 aviation standard, can be combined with FG/JFG gas filter element to build three-stage gas filter cartridge purification unit, accessible via gas filter element product page.

Working Principle of CM Separator Filter Element

After fluid passes CA coalescer filter cartridge, residual micro mist flows through CM separator cartridge. The PTFE coating of this separator filter cartridge repels all water and hydrocarbon droplets completely, only allows clean dry fluid to pass through the separator filter element. Trapped liquid accumulates on outer mesh of separator cartridge filter and falls by gravity into tank bottom, eliminate liquid carryover defect of simple coalescer filter single-stage system. When used in natural gas filter separators, CM separator filter works together with JFG gas filter element and PCHG coalescer cartridge filter to keep outlet gas liquid residue under 8ppm, far better than single gas filter cartridge without separation stage.
