As the core consumable of gas pipeline separation equipment, filter cartridge represented by PCHG series coalescer filter cartridge has become standard matching parts for overseas oil & gas stations. This professional coalescer filter element adopts multi-gradient spiral fiberglass composite material, which captures micron-level water mist, hydrocarbon droplets and pipeline rust inside raw natural gas. The special winding structure of the coalescer cartridge expands coalescing contact area greatly to realize efficient demulsification. As mainstream natural gas filter, this coalescer filter prevents compressor jamming, flowmeter blockage and valve corrosion, cutting overall maintenance expense of gas transmission pipeline. All PCHG gas filter cartridge comply with ISO 16889 multi-pass testing standards, stable for long-cycle continuous operation in harsh oilfield gas environments.

Working Principle of PCHG Coalescer Filter Cartridge

When unpurified natural gas flows outside-in through the coalescer filter cartridge, the outer coarse interception layer first traps large solid slag, scale and pipeline debris. The middle gradient fiberglass layer is the core coalescer filter element functional layer, which adsorbs scattered micro water mist and tiny hydrocarbon droplets, merging them into large visible liquid beads. After full coalescence, condensed liquid droplets fall down by gravity and settle in the vessel’s bottom storage tank, while dry, purified natural gas flows through the inner core and exits the pipeline. The liquid separation efficiency of this coalescer cartridge reaches 99.98%, far higher than ordinary single-layer natural gas filter products without gradient media.

Five Core Product Advantages

1 Ultra-High Coalescing Capacity
Multi-layer gradient fiberglass coalescer filter element maximizes liquid adsorption area, residual free liquid in outlet gas below 15ppm.

2 Large Dirt Holding Volume
Spiral seamless winding coalescer cartridge extends replacement cycle of the gas filter, reducing spare part purchasing frequency and system downtime.

3 Anti-Deformation Reinforced Structure
Thick electroplated steel inner core resists high-speed gas impact, no media collapse under fluctuating pipeline pressure.

4 Sulfur Gas Corrosion Resistance
Integral anti-rust end caps and sealed media edge adapt high-sulfur raw natural gas working conditions.

5 Full Customization Support
Adjust length, precision grade and sealing material to fit non-standard filter separator vessels.

Main Industrial Application Scenarios

This PCHG coalescer filter cartridge is widely deployed in natural gas gathering stations, compressor stations, LNG receiving terminals, refinery fuel gas pipelines and coal chemical gas transmission workshops. It always forms two-stage purification with matched gas filter element separator cartridge, completely removing solid particles and emulsified liquid mixed in raw natural gas to protect downstream flowmeters, regulating valves and compressors from abrasion and blockage.

FAQ About PCHG Coalescer Filter Cartridge

Q1 What filter media is used for standard PCHG coalescer filter cartridge?
A1 Standard grade adopts high-efficiency polyester fiberglass coalescer filter element; nano 0.1μm media is optional for high-sulfur natural gas with iron sulfide contaminants.

Q2 When should users replace the natural gas filter cartridge?
A2 Replace the coalescer cartridge when system differential pressure rises to 12–15 psi; service life ranges from 3 to 12 months based on inlet gas impurity concentration.

Q3 Can PCHG series interchange original PECO filter cartridges?
A3 Yes, all size specifications of PCHG coalescer filter cartridge are fully interchangeable with standard PECO filter separator vessels without housing modification.

Q4 Is high-temperature resistant coalescer filter available for hot natural gas pipelines?
A4 Polyester media supports stable operation up to 82℃; upgraded high-temperature polyester coalescer filter element can continuously work under 116℃ gas temperature.
