As necessary secondary purification parts for two-stage gas-liquid separation systems, Coalescing Filter supporting SS series separator filter element works cooperatively with front-stage coalescer filter cartridge to prevent liquid re-entrainment inside filter vessels. This special hydrophobic separator cartridge uses PTFE coated stainless mesh as core material, which completely repels residual tiny liquid mist carried by post-coalescence dry gas. Without qualified separator filter, condensed liquid droplets will be re-blown into downstream pipelines by gas flow, causing secondary pollution to clean natural gas filter medium and damaging precision instruments. All SS gas filter cartridge products are produced with integrated anti-corrosion end caps to adapt sulfur-containing pipeline gas environments, perfectly matching all mainstream gas filter element coalescer series.

Working Principle of SS Separator Filter Element

After raw natural gas passes through PCHG coalescer filter cartridge, large liquid drops settle to the tank bottom, while dry gas with trace micro mist flows through SS separator filter element. The PTFE hydrophobic coating on the surface of the separator cartridge rejects all liquid particles, only allowing pure dry gas to pass through the filter layer. All intercepted liquid gathers on the outer surface of the separator filter element and falls down by gravity, avoiding liquid carryover phenomenon. This hydrophobic separation mechanism ensures outlet gas liquid residue lower than 10ppm, greatly improving the overall purification performance of the complete natural gas filter separator equipment, and reduces long-term system maintenance frequency for oil & gas customers.
