LF-XULP Ultra Low Pressure RO Membrane Element Tap Water Desalination

LF-XULP series RO membrane is energy-saving flagship Reverse Osmosis membrane for low-salinity raw water, this RO membrane element reduces system pump power greatly compared with conventional RO membrane filter. The ultra-thin modified polyamide film of Reverse Osmosis membrane element keeps stable high water flux under only 0.69MPa test pressure, ideal for small and medium pure water stations. Before feeding water into any RO membrane module, front-stage Ultrafiltration membrane module and UF membrane pretreatment are mandatory to intercept colloids, extend service cycle of Reverse Osmosis membrane filter. All XULP RO membrane element are categorized under Water Filter Element, and we also supply complete coalescer cartridge, separator filter and natural gas filter via gas filter element channel.

Working Principle of LF-XULP RO Membrane Element

Under ultra-low 100psi driving pressure, tap water flows tangentially across the surface of LF-XULP RO membrane. Thin high-permeability polyamide layer of this Reverse Osmosis membrane lets massive water molecules pass into central permeate tube to produce pure water, while dissolved salt ions, organic pollutants and microorganisms are fully intercepted and discharged as concentrate water. The optimized smooth surface of RO membrane filter lowers organic adhesion rate, cuts regular chemical cleaning frequency of the Reverse Osmosis membrane element. When matched with standard UF membrane module, this RO membrane builds low-cost full pretreatment-desalination solution different from high-pressure BW RO membrane element.
