Overview

Velcon I-622C5TB is an extended-size threaded-base coalescing filter element of the classic Velcon I-series. Different from short plain-end models, the C5TB threaded base structure enables fast screw locking installation, more stable sealing under high-flow fluctuating pressure, and avoids element displacement during long-cycle operation.

With 22-inch full-length gradient hydrophilic fiberglass media, the I-622C5TB provides larger filtration area and higher contaminant retention capacity, effectively solving fuel emulsification, turbidity and fine particle abrasion problems. It is a preferred upgrade solution for medium-flow fuel purification systems pursuing longer service intervals and lower maintenance frequency.

Working Principle

Adopting inside-to-out progressive coalescing filtration:

1. Outer open fiber layer disperses high-speed fluid flow and intercepts large sediment, rust and mechanical impurities to prevent early media blocking.

2. Inner high-hydrophilic fine fiber layer captures invisible emulsified water droplets suspended in fuel.

3. Micro-droplets continuously collide, aggregate and grow into large water beads under fluid shear force.

4. Gravity separation realizes thorough water-oil separation, outputting dry and high-cleanliness fuel.
