Overview

The Velcon I-614C5 is a standard 14-inch aviation-grade coalescing filter element widely used in industrial and aviation fuel filter separators. Manufactured in accordance with EI 1581 6th Edition specifications, this plain-end coalescer adopts high-performance hydrophilic fiberglass media to achieve precise solid-liquid separation.

Different from threaded-base C5TB versions, the I-614C5 features a smooth plain end cap designed for conventional clamping-type Velcon housings. It effectively eliminates fine particles, sediment, rust and micron-sized emulsified water in fuel media, ensuring dry, high-cleanliness fuel output and protecting downstream fuel system equipment from abrasion, corrosion and blockage.

Working Principle

The I-614C5 utilizes a multi-layer gradient composite fiber structure for progressive filtration. Fuel flows from the inner core to the outer media layer. The outer coarse fiber layer intercepts large impurities to prevent early clogging. The inner high-hydrophilic fiberglass layer captures tiny emulsified water droplets. Continuous fluid flow promotes droplet collision and aggregation, forming large water beads that separate naturally by gravity, completing high-efficiency coalescing purification.
