The high flow filter element achieves maximum filtration area within a limited volume through clever design.
Large diameter design: The outer diameter of the filter cartridge is usually 6 inches (about 152mm) or larger, providing space to accommodate more filter media.
No center support skeleton: Many high flow filter cartridges are designed with no center support skeleton, using a structure with one end open, further increasing the effective filtration area.
Efficient folding technology: using horizontal pleating or horizontal folding technology, the filtering area is doubled, which is more than 20 times that of ordinary filter cartridges.
Composite structure: usually composed of three layers: diversion layer, support layer, and filtration layer.
Mainstream materials:
Filter material: mostly polypropylene (PP) or glass fiber (GF). PP has good corrosion resistance, while fiberglass has higher temperature resistance.
End caps and seals: Glass fiber reinforced polypropylene is commonly used for end caps, and sealing ring materials include nitrile rubber (Buna-N), ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), and fluororubber (Viton).
Workflow: There are two main filtering methods: from outside to inside and from inside to outside. Part of the design adopts an inside to outside flow direction, which can intercept pollutants inside the filter element
Common lengths: 20 inches (508mm), 40 inches (1016mm), 60 inches (1524mm).
Filtering accuracy: Wide coverage range, ranging from 0.05 μ m to 100 μ m. Common industrial accuracies include 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 μ m, etc.
Filtering efficiency: If the filtering ratio β value is ≥ 1000, it means that the interception efficiency for specific particle sizes can reach 99.9% or more.
Working conditions:
Maximum operating temperature: PP material usually ≤ 82 ℃; Fiberglass material can reach up to 120 ℃.
Working pressure difference: generally ≤ 0.245MPa.
Replace the pressure difference: It is recommended to replace it at around 0.28MPa.
Design lifespan: typically 3-6 months
