Overview

LEFILTER K Series High Flow Cartridges are heavy-duty, high-performance pleated filter elements specially designed for large-volume industrial fluid filtration. Unlike standard small-bore filter cartridges that require dozens of elements inside one filter housing, our K series high flow filter cartridge delivers exceptional flow capacity with far fewer cartridges installed. This unique design greatly cuts down the total number of filter consumables you need to stock, reduces the size and investment cost of filter housings, and dramatically shortens the time spent on routine filter replacement and maintenance. This high flow filter series is available with two mainstream sealing configurations: single O-ring and double O-ring structure. It supports multiple filtration micron ratings and a wide selection of seal rubber materials. We provide two kinds of filter media: polypropylene and cellulose, which make these K Series High Flow Cartridges adaptable to both aqueous liquids and non-aqueous fluids. It is widely used in water treatment, oil processing, manufacturing fluid circulation and many other industrial filtration processes, maintaining stable filtration efficiency while keeping pressure drop at a low level during the whole service cycle.

• O-ring seal assures filtration integrity. Reliable rubber sealing prevents unfiltered fluid bypassing the filter media, so all fluid must pass through the filter layer of K Series High Flow Cartridges.

• Choice of polypropylene or cellulose media allows use in both aqueous and non-aqueous fluid applications. PP media works well for most water-based liquids, while cellulose media is suitable for oil and organic fluid filtration.

• Thermally bonded polypropylene and phenolic resin bonded cellulose filter media prevent particle bleed through and unloading that commonly occurs with wound cartridges. There is no adhesive used to bond filter layers, so no glue contamination and no fine carbon or particle release under flow impact.

• The reinforced inner support cage resists collapse under high differential pressure, keeping the filter shape stable even when the cartridge is heavily loaded with impurities.

• Wide temperature and chemical compatibility, compatible with most neutral and weakly corrosive industrial fluids.

Product Structure

1. High-strength PP end cap: Provides stable connection with filter housing, good structural rigidity. It is made of glass fiber reinforced polypropylene, not easy to crack during installation.

2. Multi-layer filter material with high-precision membrane: Large pleated filtration area, stable interception efficiency. Gradient layered media structure can hold more dirt particles inside the filter layer.

3. All interfaces are welded by ultrasonic or hot plate welding without adhesive: Avoid secondary pollution, excellent chemical resistance. No extra binder will dissolve into your fluid medium.

4. Special rubber seal ring: Good corrosion resistance and anti-aging mechanical performance. Multiple rubber options can match different liquid media.

5. Reasonable pleat depth and pleat number: Improve filter efficiency and filter area. We calculate the pleat density carefully to balance flow rate, dirt holding capacity and pressure drop.

6. Special high-strength PP framework: Enhances compressive strength, prevents filter element collapse under high differential pressure. The outer protective netting protects pleats from scratch and deformation during handling.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between single O-ring and double O-ring high flow cartridges? 

A1: Single O-ring structure is simple and suitable for most conventional filtration working conditions, cost-effective for general water pre-filtration. Double O-ring provides double sealing protection, better sealing reliability, more suitable for high pressure, high leakage risk industrial systems such as oil circulation and chemical liquid filtration. Double O-ring type can effectively reduce the risk of fluid bypass.

Q2: Can K series high flow cartridges be used for oil filtration? 

A2: Yes. PP media version fits lubricating oil and coolant filtration. We can also provide cellulose media type for non-aqueous fluid filtration according to your requirements. Cellulose media has better adsorption performance for oil impurities and sludge.

Q3: What is the recommended replacement cycle? 

A3: The service cycle depends on inlet fluid impurity concentration and operating pressure. Replace the cartridge when the differential pressure reaches the preset warning value. Normally, for RO pre-filtration with clean raw water, the service life can reach 2-6 months; for wastewater and oil fluid, replacement cycle will be shorter. We suggest installing differential pressure gauge on filter housing to monitor the blocking status.

Q4: Is this filter element compatible with other brands of high flow filter housings? 

A4: Our K series high flow cartridges adopt the industry standard 6-inch outer diameter size, compatible with most mainstream high flow filter housings on the market, including many famous brand filter vessels. If you send us your housing drawing or brand model, we can confirm the compatibility for you.

Q5: Do you support custom filtration ratings and special seal materials?
