Overview

LEFILTER R Series High Flow Cartridges are heavy-duty, high-performance pleated filter cartridges engineered to handle diverse liquid filtration challenges across multiple industrial sectors. Built with premium polypropylene filter media and nylon end caps, this high flow cartridge series features a distinctive external inlet and internal outlet flow path, a well-proven structure that simplifies routine maintenance while optimizing particle capture performance. Unlike many conventional filter elements, R Series High Flow Cartridges capture suspended contaminants on the outer surface of the filter media. This design keeps trapped dirt separated from the clean fluid channel, minimizing the risk of re-releasing impurities during cartridge removal. The internal rigid PP support skeleton provides stable structural strength, capable of enduring a differential pressure up to 0.245MPa without pleat collapse or permanent deformation. Boasting a β-value greater than 1000, these cartridges deliver reliable, consistent particle retention efficiency throughout their service cycle. Multiple R Series High Flow Cartridges can be fitted inside a single filter housing, offering flexible flow capacity adjustment. This adaptability makes them suitable not only for stable continuous production operation, but also for variable flow conditions during equipment startup, batch production and fluctuating raw water quality. Thanks to excellent chemical compatibility of all polypropylene construction and Buna-N sealing option, the cartridges can cope with aqueous liquids, weak chemicals, saltwater and process fluids for food, cosmetic and medical applications.

Features

  • Allows high flow rate of media to pass through the filter media, which has the advantages of high efficiency, low pressure loss and long service life. The specially optimized pleated structure enlarges the effective filtration area, reduces initial pressure drop under high flow, slows down the blocking rate and greatly extends the usable life of R Series High Flow Cartridges. It helps your filtration system maintain stable throughput and cuts down the overall consumption of filter consumables.

  • The external inlet and internal outlet structure of the high-flow cartridge makes it easy to replace the cartridge, while keeping the contaminants trapped outside the cartridge. Since all dirt stays on the outer layer of the filter, the clean side of the filter housing remains protected. Operators can pull out the used cartridge smoothly, and loose sediment will not fall back into the downstream clean pipeline, effectively avoiding secondary fluid contamination during service.

  • The internal PP support skeleton of the cartridge can withstand the differential pressure of 0.245MPa. This robust inner support cage locks the pleats in shape. Even under sudden pressure surges or heavy impurity loading, the filter media will not cave in, rupture or shift, ensuring the filtration system runs safely and steadily.

  • The β value of the filter element is more than 1000. This high beta rating means extremely high removal efficiency for target-sized solid particles. It provides stable protection for your downstream precision filters, reverse osmosis membranes, instruments and sensitive production equipment.

  • Multiple filter cartridges can be installed in the filter housing, which can be used in a wide range of flow rates, whether in start-up or continuous operation. You can configure the quantity of R Series High Flow Cartridges according to your design flow rate. This modular layout brings great flexibility, ideal for both small batch test runs and large-scale 24-hour continuous production systems.

  • Full polypropylene media and support structure offers broad chemical compatibility. It resists most neutral aqueous liquids, diluted acids, diluted alkalis and many common process additives, making it versatile for food, cosmetic, printing ink and general chemical fluid filtration.

  • Nylon end caps deliver good structural toughness and bonding reliability. Combined with Buna-N sealing gasket, the whole assembly forms a tight sealing system to prevent unfiltered fluid bypass and guarantee filtration integrity.

FAQ

Q1: What is the unique advantage of external inlet and internal outlet design for R Series High Flow Cartridges?

A1: Contaminants are trapped on the outside of the filter media. When you take out the saturated R Series High Flow Cartridges, the dirt will not fall into the clean fluid side, greatly reducing the risk of secondary contamination during replacement. This design is especially valuable for cosmetic, medical and RO pre-filtration where fluid cleanliness is strictly required.

Q2: What is the highest temperature that R Series High Flow Cartridges can work continuously?

A2: The maximum operating temperature is 82℃. It is important to note that the allowable differential pressure drops significantly at elevated temperatures: 0.38MPa at 21℃ and only 0.15MPa at 82℃. You need to control system pressure difference properly under high-temperature working conditions to avoid filter damage.

Q3: Can R Series High Flow Cartridges be used for seawater / salt water filtration?

A3: Yes. The PP filter media and Buna-N seal material have good tolerance to saltwater, making R Series High Flow Cartridges a reliable choice for salt water pre-filtration, desalination pretreatment and brine treatment systems. If your salinity or temperature is extra high, we can evaluate alternative sealing materials for you.

Q4: When should we replace R Series High Flow Cartridges?

A4: We recommend replacing the cartridge when the differential pressure reaches 2.4bar under 20℃ working condition. Once the pressure difference hits this threshold, the filter media is heavily loaded with impurities. Continuing operation will lead to sharp flow reduction and may cause pleat collapse. We suggest installing a differential pressure gauge on the filter housing for real-time monitoring.

Q5: Can you customize micron ratings for R Series High Flow Cartridges?

A5: Yes, we support customized filtration accuracy to meet special technical requirements for cosmetic, medical and special chemical liquid filtration. Besides custom micron grades, we can also discuss alternative seal options and special inspection standards for regulated industries such as food and medical processing.
