As core purification component of industrial pure water systems, water filter element RO membrane series, also named Reverse Osmosis membrane, removes salt ions, colloids, bacteria and heavy metal ions from raw water efficiently. Each standard RO membrane element adopts composite polyamide membrane layer, achieving stable high desalination rate under long continuous operation. Before entering the RO membrane module, raw water needs to be pre-filtered by high flow filter to intercept large suspended particles and extend the service life of the Reverse Osmosis membrane.

Working Principle of RO Membrane Element

Under certain operating pressure, raw water flows along the surface of the RO membrane. Pure water molecules pass through the dense membrane layer and enter the central permeate tube to form clean product water. Salt, organic matter, microorganisms and impurities cannot pass through the Reverse Osmosis membrane and flow out along the concentrated water pipeline. The spiral-wound structure of the RO membrane element enlarges filtration area per unit volume, improving water production efficiency and reducing floor space of the whole water treatment equipment.
