As the essential first-stage protection part of two-stage natural gas purification system, Coalescing Filter matching FG filter element is specially developed for intercepting large solid pollutants inside raw natural gas. Unlike liquid coalescing cartridges, this fiberglass gas filter adopts single-layer thick fiberglass winding media, focusing on blocking sand, pipeline rust, iron sulfide powder and molecular sieve debris before gas enters the PCHG coalescer filter cartridge. If lacking qualified natural gas pre-filter, hard solid particles will scratch gradient coalescing media, shorten service life sharply and increase replacement cost of downstream gas filter cartridge. All FG series products pass ISO 16889 multi-pass dirt holding test, with ultra-large pollutant storage capacity, widely matched with PECO and Faudi standard filter separators, and perfectly cooperate with all models of gas filter element coalescing & separation series.

Working Principle of FG Fiberglass Pre-Filter Element

Raw natural gas flows from outside to inside through the FG filter element. The dense fiberglass matrix forms countless tortuous flow channels, capturing solid particles via inertial collision and direct interception mechanism. All captured dirt accumulates on the outer surface of the fiberglass gas filter without penetrating the inner core. Clean gas without solid impurities flows inward to the second-stage coalescer for liquid removal. The low-resistance winding design ensures stable gas transmission flow, and the pressure rise speed is far slower than ordinary thin-layer natural gas pre-filter, reducing system energy consumption for gas pipeline equipment.
