As essential front pretreatment equipment before all Reverse Osmosis membrane desalination systems, Coalescing Filter supporting UF membrane, also named Ultrafiltration membrane module, efficiently traps colloids, algae, bacteria and tiny suspended particles in raw industrial water. Installed directly upstream of the RO membrane system, the UF membrane module greatly reduces fouling speed of Reverse Osmosis membrane, extending RO service cycle and lowering regular chemical cleaning frequency. Combined with front security High Flow Filter, the Ultrafiltration membrane forms two-stage pre-filtration, stabilizing inlet water quality for all types of RO membrane element. All membrane products are classified under Water Filter Element (RO & UF Membrane), while our oil & gas purification gas filter element series support cross-industry matching for comprehensive fluid treatment projects.
Raw feed water flows into the membrane housing and passes through dense PVDF hollow fiber tubes of the UF membrane. Small water molecules and soluble mineral ions penetrate the hollow fiber wall to form clear ultrafiltration permeate; colloids, macromolecular organics and microorganisms are fully intercepted on the outer surface of the Ultrafiltration membrane. Timely cross-flow backwashing flushes accumulated dirt from membrane surface, maintaining stable constant flux of the UF membrane module for months of continuous industrial operation without frequent shutdown maintenance.
