Overview

During normal operation, the backwash butterfly valve stays open. Water flows in from the inlet, passes through the filter screen, and clean water flows out from the outlet, while impurities are trapped inside the screen cartridge. When sewage discharge and backwashing are triggered, the butterfly valve closes and the drain valve opens. Part of clean water reversely flows through the screen, scouring trapped contaminants, and the sewage is discharged through the drain port. The whole cleaning process runs online without interrupting the water circulation.

The filter effectively removes various viscous substances, colloids, sediment and other mechanical impurities carried in the water, protecting downstream pipelines, heat exchangers, chillers and pumps, and ensuring safe and reliable operation of the whole water system.
