1. Product Overview
This coalescer filter element is a full equivalent replacement for original FACET filter cartridges, covering all standard CA and CM series model codes
shown in our catalog. It is manufactured from multi-layer composite materials via special production processes and features strong hydrophilic
demulsification performance.
The filter is specially designed for liquid fuel purification, mainly applied to diesel oil, aviation kerosene and other fuel treatment systems. It can
remove solid mechanical impurities and separate emulsified water mixed in fuel oil through demulsification and coalescence, gathering tiny water
droplets into large drops for complete separation, so as to purify fuel liquid and protect downstream precision pumps, valves and measuring
instruments.
2. Material & Layered Structure
The filter adopts integrated multi-layer composite winding structure with stable construction and reliable sealing performance:
(1) Outer Protective Non-woven Layer
Polypropylene non-woven fabric blocks large solid particles from directly scouring the inner filter media, preventing fiber shedding and extending
service life.
(2) Core Demulsification & Coalescing Medium
Special hydrophilic composite filter material is the core functional layer. It breaks emulsified liquid film, captures tiny water droplets suspended in oil
and merges them into large water beads for separation, with large dirt holding capacity and anti-clogging performance.
(3) Inner & Outer Support Mesh
304 stainless steel perforated support screens provide structural strength, resist liquid impact and slight medium corrosion, and will not deform
under long-term working pressure.
(4) Reinforced End Caps
High-strength corrosion-resistant end caps bonded with high-temperature epoxy resin. The bonding joints are completely leak-proof, matching the
installation size of original FACET filter elements.
(5) NBR Sealing Rings
Oil-resistant nitrile rubber sealing rings fit perfectly with end cap grooves to avoid liquid bypass leakage, fully consistent with the sealing
specification of original FACET filters.

3. Working Principle
Liquid Flow Direction: Outside-in flow (fuel liquid enters from the filter outer wall and flows out through the central core)
(1) Solid Impurity Interception Stage
Contaminated fuel flows into the filter from the outside. The outer non-woven fabric and coarse filter layer trap rust, sediment and solid particle
impurities on the filter outer wall to finish solid-liquid separation.
(2) Demulsification & Water Droplet Coalescing Stage
Emulsified tiny water droplets mixed in fuel pass through the hydrophilic coalescing medium. The filter material breaks the oil-water emulsified film,
captures micro water droplets, and the droplets continuously collide and merge into large water beads under liquid flow.
(3) Water Settlement & Clean Fuel Output
Coalesced large water beads are heavier than fuel, sliding down the filter outer wall to the water collection tank at the bottom of the separator for
regular draining. Purified dry fuel flows through the inner support tube and exits from the filter center, completing liquid-solid and oil-water
two-phase purification.
