Product introduction

LCS06H1HH is a high-performance natural gas coalescing filter cartridge specifically engineered for the efficient separation of liquid droplets and solid particulate impurities in natural gas processing systems. As a critical core component integrating coalescence and filtration functions, it is designed to capture micro liquid droplets (such as condensate oil, water mist) and fine solid particles (including rust, pipeline scale, and dust) from natural gas streams. This filter cartridge is tailored to adapt to the high-pressure, variable-flow, and complex temperature conditions of natural gas extraction, transmission, and terminal utilization systems, and is fully compatible with mainstream natural gas coalescing filter housings and separators on the market. By purifying natural gas to meet strict industry standards, it effectively protects downstream key equipment such as compressors, pressure regulating valves, flow meters, and gas turbines from wear, corrosion, and blockage, ensuring the safety, stability, and efficiency of the entire natural gas transmission and utilization chain.

Filtration accuracy

The LCS06H1HH coalescing filter cartridge features superior dual-stage precision performance for both solid and liquid separation. For solid particulate matter in natural gas, it achieves a filtration efficiency of 99.9% for particles as small as 1μm, thoroughly intercepting even the finest solid contaminants that could cause abrasive damage to precision downstream equipment. For entrained liquid droplets, it exhibits excellent coalescence capability, with a liquid removal accuracy of 0.1μm @ 99.99% efficiency. This high-precision coalescence function aggregates nanoscale micro-droplets into larger, easy-to-separate droplets, which are then efficiently collected and discharged by the filter separator's liquid collection system. Importantly, its filtration and coalescence accuracy remains stable under rated working pressure (up to 10 MPa) and flow conditions, without performance attenuation caused by gas pressure fluctuations, flow velocity changes, or ambient temperature variations, fully meeting the ultra-high purity requirements of natural gas for long-distance pipeline transmission and high-precision industrial applications.

Filter media

LCS06H1HH adopts hydrophobic modified borosilicate glass fiber as the core coalescing and filtration media, which is manufactured through a high-temperature adhesive-free hot-melt bonding process. This advanced media design not only enhances the interception capacity for solid particles and the coalescence efficiency for liquid droplets but also avoids secondary pollution of natural gas caused by the dissolution of adhesive additives. The filter media is structured with a gradient pore size distribution, with larger pores on the outer layer to capture large particles and smaller pores on the inner layer for fine filtration, significantly improving dirt-holding capacity while maintaining low pressure drop. To reinforce structural stability, the media is wrapped with an outer polypropylene (PP) rigid protective mesh and supported by an inner 304 stainless steel center tube, which prevents media deformation or rupture under high-pressure gas impact. The end caps are made of high-strength epoxy resin with excellent corrosion resistance and sealing performance, and the sealing interface uses fluororubber (FKM) gaskets that are resistant to high temperature, oil, and aging, ensuring zero bypass of unfiltered natural gas and guaranteeing the integrity of the purification process.

Replacement cycle

The recommended replacement cycle of the LCS06H1HH filter cartridge is determined based on the impurity content of the raw natural gas, working pressure, flow rate, and specific application environment, with a basic service life of 12–24 months under normal operating conditions (natural gas impurity content ≤ 20 ppm). For harsh working conditions with high impurity content, such as upstream oil and gas field mining gathering stations, high-sulfur natural gas pipelines, and offshore natural gas production systems, the replacement cycle is recommended to be shortened to 12–18 months to ensure stable filtration and coalescence performance. For downstream clean gas links with low solid particle and liquid content, such as urban gate stations, LNG regasification plants, and natural gas power generation plants, the replacement cycle can be appropriately extended to 18–24 months, provided that biweekly differential pressure detection and monthly gas purity sampling tests are conducted regularly. For newly commissioned natural gas pipeline and filter systems, the first replacement is suggested to be completed within 6 months to remove construction residues such as welding slag, pipe scale, and metal shavings in the pipeline, avoiding permanent damage to the high-precision glass fiber media. The optimal replacement timing can also be judged by the system differential pressure: when the pressure difference across the filter cartridge reaches 0.35 MPa, it must be replaced in a timely manner to prevent excessive pressure loss of the gas system and reduced purification efficiency due to media blockage.
