The I-644C5TB Velcon coalescer cartridge is designed to separate dispersed emulsified water particles and contaminants from aviation fuel.
Coalescer cartridges are used during the first stage of filtration/separation of hydrocarbon fluids. They collect emulsified and highly dispersed water particles into larger droplets and filter out particulate contaminants.

(1) coalesce (combine) highly dispersed, emulsified water particles into larger water drops.
(2) filter-out particulate contaminants.
