II. Working Principle

It mainly utilizes the high carbon content, large molecular weight, and large specific surface area of activated carbon organic flocs to physically adsorb impurities in water to meet water quality requirements. When water flows through the pores of activated carbon, various suspended particles, organic substances, etc. are adsorbed in the pores of activated carbon under the action of van der Waals force; at the same time, chlorine (hypochlorous acid) adsorbed on the surface of activated carbon undergoes a chemical reaction on the surface of the carbon, being reduced to chloride ions, thereby effectively removing chlorine and ensuring that the residual chlorine in the effluent is less than 0.1 ppm, meeting the operating conditions of RO membranes. As time goes by, the retained substances in the pores and particles of the activated carbon gradually increase, causing the pressure difference between the front and back of the filter element to rise, until it fails.
