Working principle of engineering machinery filter element
Filtration principle: Engineering machinery filter element mainly uses physical interception for filtering. Taking the common oil filter element as an example, when the oil pump delivers the oil to the filter element, the oil enters from the inlet of the filter element. Since the oil has a certain pressure and fluidity, it will flush the check valve inside the filter element. Then the oil enters the filter medium of the filter element. The filter medium is usually made of filter paper, filter screen or other porous materials. These materials have a certain pore structure, and the size of the pores is designed according to different filtration accuracy requirements. When the oil passes through the filter medium, the impurity particles (such as dust, metal debris, carbon particles, etc.) in it cannot pass because their size is larger than the pores of the filter medium, and are thus intercepted on the surface or inside of the filter medium. The clean oil after filtration passes through the center tube of the filter element, flows out from the outlet, and returns to the lubrication system of the engineering machinery to continue to play the role of lubrication, cooling, cleaning, etc.
Working principle of special structure:
Air filter element: Engineering machinery will inhale a large amount of air when working, and the air contains impurities such as dust and sand. Air filters usually use multi-stage filtration. First, pre-filtration methods such as inertial separation and cyclone centrifugal separation are used to remove most of the large particles in the air. Then, the pre-filtered air enters the main filter for further fine filtration, and the main filter can filter out smaller particles. Some air filters also have safety filters (secondary filters). When the main filter is replaced or fails, the safety filter can continue to filter and prevent impurities from entering the engine.
Hydraulic oil filter: In the hydraulic system of construction machinery, the hydraulic oil needs to be kept clean to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system. The working principle of the hydraulic oil filter is similar to that of the engine oil filter. The hydraulic oil flows through the filter under the action of the hydraulic pump, and the impurities are intercepted by the filter medium of the filter, and the clean hydraulic oil returns to the hydraulic system. Due to the high working pressure of the hydraulic system, the hydraulic oil filter needs to have high strength and pressure resistance.
