Overview

Mesh Disc Filter is a typical stacked metal mesh disc filter for lubricating oil pipelines. It is divided into SPL duplex mesh disc filter and DPL simplex mesh disc filter. The duplex design allows switching between two filter chambers without stopping the system for element cleaning or replacement. This Mesh Disc Filter uses multi-layer metal wire mesh discs as the filter medium, featuring stable filtration performance and easy maintenance. It is commonly installed on the lubrication circuits of machinery and power equipment to intercept solid contaminants in oil.

Technical Features

• Two structural options: simplex (single chamber) and duplex (double chamber with switch valve).

Application Scope

This SPL series duplex mesh disc filter is mainly applied in lubricating oil pipelines of power, metallurgy, mining, machinery and other industries. It filters solid particles in lubricating oil, protecting bearings, gears and other precision moving parts. The test medium is clean oil with viscosity up to 24 cSt.

Working Principle

When oil flows into the filter, solid impurities are trapped by stacked metal mesh discs. For the duplex Mesh Disc Filter, operators can rotate the handwheel valve to switch the oil passage to another filter chamber. The contaminated side can then be disassembled and cleaned while the system keeps running, avoiding shutdown losses.
